As the effects of climate change and global warming become more and more evident, urban contexts which are highly populated and rapidly densified are facing severe overheating challenges. Adelaide, in particular, has become one of the hottest cities in Australia.
This project adopts a systematic and innovative approach to manipulate urban environments, encompassing urban forms, materials, green spaces, and energy fluxes. The objective is to improve the local climatic conditions and outdoor thermal comfort, ultimately mitigating the urban heat island effect.
